Roshni Caputo-Nimbark

Roshni Caputo-Nimbark is a PhD Candidate in the Department of Folklore at Memorial University of Newfoundland & Labrador. Her research concerns queerness, commons, and critical heritage in a Newfoundland farming community. Together with residents, she is revaluing commons-based economies and structures of feeling with the aim of forging a more inclusive present and future centred on sustainability, care, cooperation, and reciprocity. Through this work, she is spearheading the development of a community-led ecomuseum that prioritizes critical/queer representations of heritage and reciprocal ethnography.
